Erg-A-Thon

Erg-A-Thon PictureThe 1st Annual Erg-A-Thon

In 2014, the Rockford High School Spring Rowing team completed it’s first Erg-a-thon. On Saturday, March 15, 2014, the team joined together in the gym at the Freshman Center. The rowing machines called “ergs” were set up so that all athletes had the opportunity to complete a personal goal of between 10,000 and 20,000 meters. The team had a combined goal of one million meters! The entire team from novice to varsity and coxswains worked very hard.

The annual Rowing garage sale takes place simultaneously in the Freshman Center cafeteria. The monies raised helps to support all rowing equipment, racing shells (boats), oars etc. The rowing team appreciates the community support and looks forward to a great turnout on Saturday.

Below are the documents for the Annual Erg-A-Thon, including a letter and a pledge sheet used to collect donations/pledges. All monies collected by the rowers come directly off their rowing dues. The team provides tax receipts for those wanting them, as all donations are tax deductible!
