Fall Rowing

Sign ups will be available through Rockford Community Ed beginning Monday, August 22! www.rpssignmeup.com. The fall seasons runs through the end of the October.

Reminder: Fall Rowing is a club sport and is not the official RPS sport (that takes place in the spring).

High School

Varsity:

Start Date: Monday, August 29th

Time: 3:20-6:00 (Giving athletes time to change into practice clothes at school)

Cost: $205

Novice (First Year):

Start Date: Tuesday, September 6th

Time: 3:20-6:00 (Giving athletes time to change into practice clothes at school)

Cost: $205
Typically, if there are enough upperclassman drivers, the coach will help arrange carpooling among the rowers to the boathouse from the schools.  However, this is not guaranteed and can take a few days to work out.  If your rower does not drive, please have arrangements for getting him/her to the boathouse the first several days of practice.

Middle School (6th – 8th grade)

Start Date: Tuesday, September 6th

Time: 6:00-8:00 (Monday thru Thursday)

Cost: $170

Adult Recreational Rowing

Start Date: Friday, September 9th

Time: 6:00-8:00 on Friday

Cost: $55


Fall Regattas

1. Frogtown, which takes place on September 24th in Toledo, Ohio

2. Head of the Grand which usually takes place mid-October in Lansing, MI (The date is not posted yet on Regatta Central.)

3. The Leelanau Chase which takes place on October 30th in Lake Leelanau, MI

**There will be three fundraisers this fall to offset the cost of regattas. Two out of three are mandatory for all rowers. If you would like to opt out of these you may pay the $80 opt out fee. Times and dates for fundraisers to be announced at a later dat**
