Dedication. Expertise. Passion.

Wren Bennie

Being a team captain means being there for my teammates on and off the water. I hope to be someone they can turn to for support or advice, regardless of whether or not it is rowing related.

Lucas Orlebeke

I care about the team, and I want to both improve myself and help improve others if I am able. I try to be helpful and kind to the novice so that they have good memories of their first year and want to continue rowing.

Julie Jansma
Junior
Being a captain means showing up and giving it my all, especially when the team is getting exhausted, and encouraging the team in finding the good in difficult situations. It also means listening to team's ideas and viewpoints.

Kaden Pett

Rowing is as much of a team sport as your will find, and I feel the role of a team captain comes down to being able to keep the team working as efficiently as possible. Primarily through listening to your peers and encouragement on and off the water.
