Fundraisers
As we reflect on the past year, it's evident that we must take action to transform our boathouse and secure a bright future for our athletes. With about one-third of our fleet in race-worthy condition and the remaining two-thirds outdated or beyond repair, we face limitations that hinder our growth and potential.
To overcome these challenges and provide the best opportunities for our athletes, we have set an ambitious fundraising goal of $300,000. This will allow us to address immediate needs, upgrade essential equipment, and ensure a successful program for years to come.
We are thrilled to launch our fundraising efforts, and we need your support. Our mission is not just about raising funds but also about instilling pride in our facilities and equipment. The journey ahead involves addressing our immediate needs, with our shells, oars, cox boxes, racks for sculling oars and singles, and essential maintenance for the dock, roof, and launches. Your voice and actions matter. Please share our mission with everyone you know, as your word of mouth will be crucial to our success. Equipment Fund
The below is the list of our current fundraising opportunities, these will support the teams fundraising goals for this year.
RUMMAGE SALE
Community wide rummage sale! The sale will take place on September 16th and 17th!
We will be available for donations every Saturday leading up, from now until the sale, at the freshman center, from 9-11am!

A SIPZEE representative will come directly to your home or business, pick up your returnables (a minimum of 150 bottles/ cans), and return them for you. 5 cents per return will go to the Rowing Team! Minimum of 150 cans!

GOT SNEAKERS
Consider donating your used sneakers! We have a box at the boathouse for donations, we will be running this all year, with up to $7 to the team for each pair of donated sneakers. They will be recycled into new shoes, great for the planet, great for the team!

SPONSORSHIPS
Rockford Rowing has been around since 1996 thanks to our founding team, coaches, and administrators that helped form the Rowing Program. We were able to kick off this team with a great start over 20 years ago, however, much of our equipment and facilities are still original to the start of the program. The age of our facility and equipment is starting to diminish our abilities as a program to continue to compete at the higher level we have in the past. Despite the problems posed with our equipment, we still managed to qualify three boats for the national championships this previous spring, and compete against some of the largest schools in the Nation successfully, due to the athletes' hard work and dedication to their team.
